Welcome to the Get Golden web site. Get Golden is a national AIESEC event being put on by a group of trainees who are staying the San Francisco Bay Area, in collaboration with AIESEC Bay Area. The event will take place in the wilds of California, Sierra National Forest to be exact, just south of Yosemite National Park. It involves 3 days of camping, activities, relaxation, and fun with AIESECers! This is not an event to be missed! Profits Donated to SF Project Homeless Connect We had a great weekend enjoying the outdoors without a sturdy roof over our heads. However, many cannot afford the luxury of returning to a warm bath and bed whenever they have had enough. A large number of attendees have enjoyed the city of San Francisco and as such will also have seen the vast number of homeless people living hand-to-mouth in the city. It was since decided that the outstanding profits from Get Golden 2007 would be donated to a homeless charity in the San Francisco Bay Area. Founded in 2004 by San Francisco Mayor Gavin Newsom, Project Homeless Connect aims to provide easy access to services that support the transition the of City's homeless off the streets and into housing. PHC is now implemented in 106 cities across the United States as well as Canada, Puerto Rico and Australia. Every other month over 1000 community volunteers partner with city government, non-profits and the private sector to provide a one-stop shop of health and human services for homeless San Franciscans. Services include medical, mental health, substance abuse, housing, dental, benefits, legal, free eyeglasses, California ID, food, clothing, wheelchair repair and more. Thank You for a Wonderful Weekend! The sun shone, the lake was clear and you, the guests, were exceptional. Thank you all for a great weekends camping. We managed to leave the site on time and, most importantly, immaculate. Don't forget to share your photos and tell all your friends. With a little luck we can convince the new set of Bay Area interns to carry on the trdition for another year of Get Golden fun. Thanks again, Niall

Car Pool Drivers Required for Friday While we seem to be sorted for car pools on the Saturday we are in desperate need of car pool drivers for Friday the 25th. If you plan to drive to the camp site on the Friday please let us know if you have any free seats in your car. If you are able to drive on the Friday we'd greatly appreciate you volunteering. Registration Closed Registration for Get Golden 2007 has now closed. Thank you to everyone who has registered for the event. We'll be sending out an email in the imminent future with some more details about the weekend like what to do when you arrive and what to do if you still haven't made travel arrangements or spoken to our transport coordinator. Please remember that if you are able to bring your own tent please let us know. While we have tent space for a lot of people we don't have room for everyone.
