Get Golden in the Golden State!
The Sun trainees of the San Francisco Bay Area, in collaboration with AIESEC Bay Area, invite you to join us for a fun-packed weekend in the wilderness of California.
Incredible surroundings...
We will be camping for three nights in the 1,300,000 acre Sierra National Forest (yes, that's 1.3 million acres of nature's best!), just south of Yosemite National Park. You will experience the vast beauty of these incredible surroundings - the giant sequoias, the gaping valleys, the towering rock formations, the gushing waterfalls.
Camping...
All the usual camp site activities will of course be going on - ritualistic dancing around huge camp fires, fighting off mosquitoes, frisbee, volleyball, relaxing in the sun, etc. We have a large group camp site and will be renting tents (included in the price) but you are of course welcome to bring your own, and you will need to bring your own sleeping bag.
Activities...
This weekend is for everyone: whether you want to mountain bike through intense forest trails, hike around Yosemite, swim in waterfall plunge pools, jet-ski, water-ski, go fishing, relax on a rowing boat in crystal-clear waters, tour around the beautiful scenery or tear up some off-road trails in a Jeep. See the activities page for more details. This is not an event to be missed!!
Important stuff...
Fly in to San Francisco, Oakland or San Jose and we'll pick you up at the airport. We will be driving up to the Sierra National Forest in several shifts on Friday. It's a 3-4 hour drive, so fly here on the Thursday (or even better, earlier) if you want to make the most of the trip. See the location page for more details, maps of the area, etc.
If anyone wants to come the weekend before, we will be organizing a trip to Santa Cruz, probably including surfing, and a trip into San Francisco. We can help sort out some accommodation for you wherever you want in the Bay Area.
Contact us by May 1st if you want to come!
